1. Introduction
These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern access to and use of the WasteChain platform ("Platform").
The Platform is operated by the WasteChain project team, based in Greece ("WasteChain", "we", "us").
By accessing or using the Platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
2. Nature of the Platform
WasteChain provides a digital environment that enables users to:
- create and publish material listings or requests,
- discover potential counterparties,
- communicate and coordinate potential transactions.
WasteChain operates solely as a facilitation layer.
WasteChain:
- does not act as a broker, agent, or intermediary,
- does not execute, manage, or guarantee transactions,
- does not handle payments,
- does not arrange or assume responsibility for logistics,
- does not verify the quality, legality, or accuracy of listed materials.
Any agreement, transaction, or relationship is established solely between users, independently of WasteChain.
3. Eligibility
The Platform is intended for use by businesses and professionals.
By registering, you confirm that:
- you are at least 18 years old,
- you have the authority to act on behalf of your organization,
- the information you provide is accurate and complete.
4. Registration and Access
Access to the Platform requires account registration.
- Registration is subject to manual approval by WasteChain.
- We reserve the right to accept or reject any registration at our discretion.
- Users are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of their credentials.
You agree to keep your account information accurate and up to date.
5. User Responsibilities
Users are solely responsible for:
- the content they upload (listings, messages, documents),
- the accuracy and legality of materials listed,
- compliance with applicable laws and regulations,
- all interactions and agreements with other users.
Users must not:
- provide false or misleading information,
- upload unlawful or infringing content,
- misuse the Platform for fraudulent or abusive activities.
6. Listings, Communication, and Content
The Platform allows users to:
- publish listings and requests,
- exchange messages,
- coordinate potential transactions.
WasteChain does not review all content and does not guarantee its accuracy.
We reserve the right to:
- remove content,
- suspend or terminate accounts,
at our sole discretion.
7. Transactions Disclaimer
WasteChain is not a party to any transaction between users.
We:
- do not guarantee performance, delivery, or payment,
- do not resolve disputes between users,
- are not responsible for any loss arising from user interactions.
Users assume full responsibility for entering, managing, and executing any agreements.
8. Logistics Coordination Disclaimer
Any logistics-related coordination through the Platform is informational only.
WasteChain:
- does not provide transport services,
- does not issue routes or instructions,
- does not assume responsibility for shipment, handling, or delivery.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, WasteChain shall not be liable for:
- indirect or consequential damages,
- loss of business, revenue, or data,
- disputes or damages arising between users,
- inaccuracies or omissions in user-generated content.
The Platform is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind.
10. Intellectual Property
All Platform-related content (excluding user content) is owned by or licensed to WasteChain.
Users retain ownership of their uploaded content but grant WasteChain a limited right to use it for Platform operation.
11. Termination
We may suspend or terminate access to the Platform at any time, without prior notice, including in cases of:
- violation of these Terms,
- misuse of the Platform,
- risk to Platform integrity or other users.
12. Modifications
We may update these Terms at any time.
Updated versions will be published on the Platform. Continued use constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
13. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Greece and applicable European Union legislation.
